​​Fixed Term for 6 months

​​​​​​​Are you interested in working alongside other professionals? Do you enjoy caring for people? Would you like to work alongside the Dietetic & SLT teams?

We are looking for a dietetic/slt assistant to join our friendly teams based in Kelso, to undertake this extremely varied role.  Following training and achievement of competencies you will assist dietitians & SLTs with the assessment, treatment and monitoring of patients in continuing care establishments. This will include undertaking anthropometric measurements, taking dietary histories, screening for eating & drinking difficulties and calculating energy and protein intakes. The post holder will need to have good organisational skills, developed IT skills and excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.  You will be responsible for some administration roles and management of our products and resources. 

Our services are committed to the training of student Dietitians, SLTs and other health care professionals. The post holder will also be involved in on-going education for staff in continuing care establishments.  The departments encourage innovation and supports continuous professional development. The post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure.

The Scottish Borders is within commuting distance from Edinburgh.
