NHS Dumfries and Galloway wish to recruit a Workforce Director to the Board and senior leadership team.

The Workforce Directorate is a key corporate directorate supporting the organisation and the wider Health and Social Care Partnership to achieve its workforce ambitions. This role carries Executive responsibility on behalf of the Board for workforce attraction, retention, development and wellbeing and is integral to the future transformation of services and positive culture shifts we require in order to be a system that is safe, diverse and a fun one to be working in.

We are looking for an inspirational leader with a background leading in a complex organisation either in public or private sector. You must be able to demonstrate you have the key skills, passion and ambition to deliver strategic direction for the future as well as take a lead on key tactical priorities recently agreed as outlined in the job pack.

The successful candidate will be warmly welcomed by a truly collaborative, enthusiastic and proactive team of senior leads and teams under them who are fully engaged with ensuring the tactical priorities and longer-term plans are delivered.

The post is based at Mountainhall Treatment Centre in Dumfries and offers hybrid working flexibility from home.
