Secondment for 23 months on existing salary Scale/Band pro rata

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Lead for the Respiratory Managed Clinical Network (MCN) to lead the MCN across Tayside.  The Clinical Lead may be from a medical, nursing or allied health professional background.

The postholder will have a key strategic role in redesigning and continuing to develop effective, integrated, multidisciplinary respiratory services within the framework of a Managed Clinical Network.  He/she will work collaboratively as part of a core Network leadership team to drive forward service developments as prioritised by the Respiratory MCN Executive Group and to implement locally the national Respiratory Care Action Plan.

Sustainability is key part of the MCN Lead role along with working across primary, secondary, community and third sector ultimately ensuring across all these pathways that the patient is at the core.  This needs to be done in a way that has the least impact on the planet by exploring how to develop a more sustainable approach to respiratory care whilst maintaining or improving quality of care.

The successful candidate will have credible clinical knowledge of respiratory disease, including the management of patients across the whole journey of care.  A proven record in leading change and a demonstrable commitment to the development and role of MCNs are essential.  This is a real opportunity to work collaboratively and innovatively to deliver real improvements in patient care.

The post is offered on a secondment basis for a period of 23 months, with the successful candidate transferred on their existing salary. The post can be split into 2, (2 x 1 PA sessions).  Applicants who wish to be considered for 1 PA only, please indicate this when you submit your application.
