We welcome a current or developing advanced practice Podiatrist to join our small, enthusiastic, and motivated podiatry team dedicated to delivering a high-quality service for people in need.
We are looking for a passionate, motivated and resourceful Podiatrist to develop and lead the Early Intervention, Preventative Care and Minor Surgery for our team. We anticipate the successful applicant will have significant clinical experience working at a specialist podiatry Band 6 level including education, nail surgery, wound care and the management of complex patients.
As an advanced practice Podiatrist you will have the opportunity to develop your own clinical skills in this area of podiatry, as well as supporting the development of others. The post holder will act as a role model, to ensure that robust procedures and high standards of clinical care, quality improvement and safety are in place. The post holder will support the team development through supervision, audit and research.
The successful applicant will be highly organised to develop and facilitate the smooth running of the early intervention, preventative and minor surgical service. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work and communicate across boundaries to ensure the best possible care for patients.
The role is varied and will include an element of collaborative teaching and sharing to educate patients and other health care professionals across the Board area to promote foot health and prevent foot disease.
You will be supported by an experienced team of B7’s and in turn you will support colleagues in all of these aspects of podiatry. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including community and acute. It is essential to travel and work between multiple sites within our rural location.
