We are looking for an innovative and well-motivated Occupational Therapist who would like to work in a progressive team, undertaking service improvement activity whilst managing a caseload of complex patients.
The caseload will consist of adults with long term conditions and those who may have recently been discharged from hospital.
You will provide direct clinical care, undertaking occupational therapy assessment, treatment and management of people within the service. You will also be required to provide supervision and appraisal for health care support workers.
You must possess a kind, confident and flexible personality with the ability to communicate to an exceptional standard with both patients and colleagues.
You will work autonomously as well as with other members of the multidisciplinary team demonstrating collaborative care planning in order to provide a patient-centred service, working to identify holistic short and long term goals and rehabilitation plans. You will be supporting individuals and their significant others to adjust, be informed, make choices and consider options which will ultimately enable them to live their own unique life/lives
Evidence of post graduate development and a widespread clinical experience are essential to this role. You will contribute to the training and development of students.
We have embedded the RCOT Career Progression Framework within our service and encourage you to develop your skills underpinned by the four pillars of practice.
You will also contribute to service plans and strategic objectives by undertaking audit and quality improvement activity.
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration and a current driving license are required for this post.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
