OneMedical Group are hiring!

Great Western Medical Practice are looking for a forward thinking Workflow Administrator to join their team. 

The main purpose of the post is to provide a systematic approach to processing incoming clinical correspondence safely and efficiently. They are in charge of handling of this information efficiently, safely and diligently to ensure safe patient care and the efficient running of the practice. 

The job holder will have to:

  • Enter electronic and paper correspondence (via docman) onto the clinical system.
  • GMEDS (out of hours)
  • Review each document, coding, actioning and filing into the patient records and if appropriate sending onto appropriate member of the clinical team.
  • Preparing prescriptions where appropriate ready for printing/signing.
  • Ensuring clinical team have awareness of urgent requests requiring same day action/intervention.
  • Awareness of clinical system changes
  • Communicating with colleagues to print/remove documents for patients not registered as required.

Therefore, the successful candidate must have:​​​​​​​

  • Good understanding and adherence to the need for strictest confidentiality.
  • Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense and knowledge to respond to patients enquiries and requests.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience of read coding medical records
  • Awareness and knowledge of IT systems in order to complete work.

About the Practice:

Located in the Seafield area in the West of Aberdeen, Great Western Medical Practice delivers healthcare for 10,000 patients from the ground floor of a modern health centre.

The practice is made up of various healthcare professionals to meet extensive patient needs and offers a variety of telephone, face-to-face and video appointments between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

There is carpark  available for patients and staff. Practice is close to amenities, including pharmacies, shops and local bus routes.
