Blood Science (Band 7) Biomedical Scientist (Team Manager)
Haematology RIE (Morphology and Paediatrics)
The NHS Lothian Blood Science Laboratories comprising Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Biochemistry, Immunology and Serology are based on 3 adult sites
(RIE, WGH & SJH).
This is an opportunity to develop your technical and managerial skills within a supportive team environment. Applicants will be considered from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists educated to Masters level (Masters or HSD) with experience in Haematology.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with proven training and management skills. The ideal candidate will have experience at a specialist level in Haematology with a special interest in Morphology and Paediatrics. The post holder is responsible for maximising service provision, including enabling the delivery of a safe and effective service, and ensuring that all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met e.g., quality and training.
Please note this post is based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and once trained the post holder will need to join the out of hours rota.
