Trainee post with ANNEX 21 applied is paid a percentage of the fully qualified rate during the period of training as follows:

Year 1: 70% of the pay band maximum (£37,652) 

Year 2: 75% of the pay band maximum (£40,341)

The Inverness Pharmacy Team in NHS Highland are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join our team of clinical pharmacists, developing and delivering the pharmacotherapy service in General Practice.

This new role is suitable for newly qualified pharmacists or those keen to move to primary care.

The successful candidates will commit to completion of the NES Post-Registration Foundation Training with integrated Independent Prescribing qualification.

Upon successful completion of this the candidate will continue in the team as a Band 7 pharmacist with the option to continue their development through the General Practice Clinical Pharmacist Framework (GPCP).

You will be supported by the pharmacy team and by practice colleagues with a dedicated educational supervisor and protected learning time. We encourage peer support and shared learning. You will require good communication, organisational and IT skills alongside a commitment to learning and development.

This role will involve close working with patients and other healthcare professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will work to deliver all levels of the pharmacotherapy service to GP surgeries in your locality as an independent clinical pharmacist, delivering patient care via telephone and / or face to face consultations.

This post will involve travelling to a number of locations so a full, current driving license and use of own car for work purposes is essential.
