The Post:
Public Health Scotland is looking to recruit a Learning and Development Manager to join their Workforce Development Service.
The post will play a key role in the delivery our strategic approach to learning and workforce development for delivering our public health outcomes in Scotland.
The Candidate:
In the role you will be responsible for leading, developing and managing and evaluating a portfolio of work that develops and strengthens the capability and capacity of a workforce for public health in Scotland. The postholder will provide leadership for workforce development including developing and delivering on a range of targeted learning and practice improvement programmes, developing high-quality digital learning content and providing flexible learning and development opportunities for a range of stakeholders.
In delivering all aspects of the role you will be expected to display the Public Health Scotland values of collaboration, integrity, respect, innovation and excellence.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Central Quay, Glasgow. Please note that PHS is currently in the process of relocating from Central Quay, Glasgow to Bothwell Street, Glasgow from early 2024.
Currently hybrid working
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need, you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
