We are seeking dynamic and experienced individual to lead health improvement within Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP). 
The Health Improvement Manager will be responsible for the operational management and professional leadership of the Health Improvement Team within the HSCP.  The post holder will also lead the strategic development of health improvement, with clear emphasis on reducing health inequalities. This will include the development of improvement strategies that contribute to the delivery of key national and local priorities and managing the implementation of supporting programmes.

Qualifications

The post holder must be qualified to degree standard
The post holder has, or is working towards, a Masters qualification in health improvement /health promotion or public health, or be able to demonstrate professional development to Masters level
 
Experience

Significant management experience in the NHS or another public sector organisation and evidence of working at strategic level, with knowledge of interagency working.

Recent experience of managing organisational change and working with inter-agency 

partners

Sound leadership and team working experience  

Ability to understand, communicate and influence policy initiatives and their implementation across a broad spectrum.

Experience of managing conflicting interests.

IT literate.

Highly developed written and communication skills

Sound analytical skills and project management experience. 
Knowledge:

Sound knowledge and understanding of the health improvement and inequalities agenda, public health imperatives and national policies.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy directives.
Knowledge and understanding of establishing evidenced base practice utilising evaluation and research skills

Evidence of continuing professional development and update of knowledge and skills.
