NHS Highland has a requirement for an Assistant Desktop Specialist within its eHealth Department to assist with the implementation of the Pharmacy Stock Control (PSC) and Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicine Administration System (HEPMA).
Along with the 5 other North of Scotland Health Boards, NHS Highland is embarking on an exciting programme of work to implement HEPMA across all of its hospitals and wards. These 6 boards are collaborating on this transformational change which will support safe and effective high quality clinical care for the population of the North of Scotland. This is the first time in the UK that a single HEPMA system will be installed and used by multiple NHS Boards.
We are looking for highly motivated, innovative and ambitious people to support the implementation and use of the HEPMA system across NHS Highland. The postholder will be part of the Highland HEPMA team and will support this program of work from the development phase to business as usual.
The post will initially be located within the IT Systems team, a customer focused desktop and solutions based delivery team, responsible for procuring, installing and configuring PCs and associated equipment.
A wide understanding of Windows clients, printing solutions and the ability to develop solutions and think through problems is desirable. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively to a wide range of end users and work effectively as part of a larger team. Experience with IT equipment and Microsoft operating systems is required, as well as a recognised IT qualification. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
