An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the physiotherapy team in the Highland Rheumatology Unit, Ross Memorial Hospital, Dingwall. You will be part of the wider MSK Physiotherapy team covering Inverness & Ross. The Highland Rheumatology unit delivers a multi-professional assessment, treatment, monitoring and ongoing support of patients with rheumatic disease as both inpatients and outpatients. Physiotherapy uses movement, exercise and education to enable people to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.
As a band 4 physiotherapy assistant, you will support the physiotherapists with some aspects of assessment and coordination of care, including developing and adapting treatment plans with agreed protocols. Previous experience in an AHP support worker role is desirable alongside experience in leading exercise groups.
The successful candidate must be able to help deliver NHS Hydrotherapy sessions in the Puffin Pool.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required. You are expected to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be IT literate. You will be required to participate in regular in-service training, supervision and other CPD opportunities.
Flexibility is expected but a probable working pattern will be: Monday 9-1, Tuesday 8.15-3.30, Wednesday 8.15-12.15 and Friday 8.30-12.30.
