ADVANCED CRITICAL CARE NURSE/PHYSIOTHERAPIST PRACTIONER
CRITICAL CARE
ROYAL ALEXANDRA HOSPITAL
We are looking for a motivated Advanced Nurse /Physiotherapist Practitioner (ANP/APP) to join our Critical Care team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
The role will require the individual to work across organisational boundaries and manage clinical care for their patient’s utilising expert knowledge base and clinical competence to support multi professional teams. As a clinical leader the ANP/APP role encompasses that of an expert clinician utilising advanced knowledge, skills and experience ensuring high standards of care in accordance with the NMC/HCPC and Health and Safety Legislation.
The post holder has the freedom and authority to act autonomously in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment, including prescribing, of patients with multi-dimensional problems. This includes the authority to refer, admit and discharge patients within appropriate clinical specialities.
ANPs/APPs can work across all clinical settings dependant on their area of expertise. ANPs/APPs will have successfully completed a PgD: Advanced Clinical Practitioner or if in a trainee role will be supported on an Education Pathway via a programme with Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
Trainees will be considered.
