The shift pattern for this post is 11.5 hour shifts / rotational day & night duty Monday – Sunday.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic, compassionate and creative team as a Band 5 Registered Nurse in ward 2C within Gartnavel General Hospital. The post is based in our orthopaedic rehabilitation ward.
You will utilise a broad range of skills in the care of this group. You will be given support by the practice education team to develop your skills and knowledge in this field of nursing.
We are looking to recruit a registered nurse to work within the multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care for patients, supporting their acute care, rehabilitation, and discharge planning by providing holistic and compassionate care and contributing to the physical and emotional needs for this defined patient group.
You will have an interest in developing skills in dementia, delirium, orthopaedics and palliative care. Dynamic discharge planning is essential for ensuring the patients are cared for by the right people in the right place at the right time and your skills and knowledge will be valuable in contributing to this model of care.
You will assess patient needs, plan/implement and evaluate care which is evidence based utilising all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers and significant others including our community colleagues.
The shift pattern for this post is 11.5 hour shifts / rotational day & night duty Monday – Sunday however we are able to consider full and part time hours to support our service. You will be provided with mentorship and coaching, as we strongly value and support staff wellbeing and development.
