The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join the Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership, working as part of the team in our Community Treatment and Care service (CTAC), primarily based assisting the minor surgery clinic.
This is a fixed term post for 11 months contracted at 17.5 hours per week. The post holder will assist with minor surgery clinics, with the opportunity to develop further, in the treatment room clinic settings of the CTAC service. However, as the post holder is employed by NHS Grampian, there may be a requirement to work flexibly across Aberdeen City H&SCP to meet service demands.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and team working skills and be committed to delivering a high standard of care to patients. Venepuncture and other basic nursing skills are essential, and experience and knowledge within the field of minor surgery would be advantageous. Knowledge in wound care is a necessity, and experience of working within a GP treatment room is desirable, however, applications from those with experience of working in another healthcare setting will also be considered.
Informal enquiries can be made to: Dr David Cooper, Clinical Lead Aberdeen City Minor Surgery Service, david.cooper@nhs.scot
