A vacancy has arisen within the ASDU (Area Sterilisation & Disinfection Unit) at Falkirk for a trainee technician. The core activity of a decontamination unit is the decontamination, disassembly, assembly, packaging and sterilisation of re-usable medical devices & processing of Endoscopes. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working a 2-shift system 5 /7. ASDU is an extremely busy department and at times can be physically demanding.

You will undertake all tasks appropriate in all aspects of the operation of equipment/machinery and policies/procedures within ASDU & Endoscopy, which is based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Hours of Work: -The department currently operates between 8am and 10pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. The post holder will have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
