Job Advert
Senior Analyst Health & Social Care (permanent, full time 37.5 hours)
NHS Grampian is an intelligence-led organisation known for drawing on high quality analytics to inform public health, planning, performance and improvement. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and forward-thinking individuals to join our team.
We have a number of posts available and are looking for people with highly developed skills in: information extraction and manipulation of large datasets; application of relevant statistical approaches to complex problems; identification of data patterns; predictive modelling; information interpretation and data visualisation skills. All of the posts offer the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders such as Public Health consultants, acute sector colleagues and local authorities, along with other health boards and national health bodies.
The team has built an outstandingly positive reputation and we are much in demand, so the ability to deal with pressure is important. In return we can offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements and opportunities for development and progression. Continuous professional development and research are important to us and we provide the opportunity to develop academic links with the University of Aberdeen and the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science.
This post will provide health intelligence for NHS Grampian and the three health and social care partnerships, strengthening cross-agency partnership working, and helping to develop the primary and social care intelligence-base. This will include production of automated dashboards on Tableau, and written material, which will require knowledge of users’ needs and requirements.
The post holder will provide intelligence to highlight the impact of planning scenarios and options for consideration e.g. investment in local diagnostic facilities; opening or closure of community hospital wards; future health trends.
Demonstrable technical skills in Microsoft packages, analytical and interpretation skills will be essential to command support and respect from customers, and influence decision-making with verbal and written evidence and well-developed reasoning.
Interviews will be held in June on MS Teams.
