The shift pattern for this position is 3 long days.

HCSW Band 4, 34.59 hours worked as 3 long shifts, Monday – Sunday, the unit closes on day shift Sundays.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to train as haemodialysis support worker within the renal dialysis unit at the New Victoria Ambulatory Care Hospital. The unit is a very friendly and welcoming place to work.

The dialysis unit has 30 outpatient spaces, and operates 3 shifts each day.
Experience within the hospital environment is essential, ideally as a band 3 with evidence of ongoing learning.

The training for this role takes 9 months to 1 year to complete, and during that time you would be working as a HCSW band 3. On successful completion of the training programme you would move to the band 4 post. ​​​​​​​

You will operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. You will be responsible for all aspects of the technical haemodialysis procedure and ensuring patient safety throughout their treatment.

You will maintain effective communication with patients, relatives/carers and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that appropriate information is shared, both written and digitally stored notes are updated and patient needs are met at all times.
