The shift pattern for this position is Mon – Sun (12 hours, days, nights, weekends).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Charge Nurse within the Urology Ward in the QEUH. The Urology Ward is a busy 28 bedded area, providing comprehensive in-patient services for patients undergoing varied types of Urology surgery and Urology treatment. The successful post holder will deputize/support the Senior Charge Nurse in contributing to the management of the ward/department budget by ensuring effective use of physical, human and financial resources e.g. the nursing resource and supplies including pharmaceutical supplies and equipment. They will also ensure that standards of practice are maintained, reviewed and continuously, developed and that staff deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, efficient, timely and equitable care within their scope of practice as part of the healthcare team.
You should have NMC Registration as well as evidence of continued professional development. As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's pre-employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date. You should therefore note candidates who are unable to provide confirmation of current NMC registration, in line with projected start date for this post, may not be shortlisted for interview.
