Location: Rotational post within Hospital at Night Team and Acute Medical Assessment within Medicine and Unscheduled Care Portfolio, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, NHS Grampian site. ​​​​​​​

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medicine and Unscheduled care in Aberdeen Royal infirmary for driven, motivated individuals to join as a Nurse Practitioner.  Successful candidates will be expected to work both day and night hours rotating between Acute Medicine and Hospital at Night teams in a structured basis.

Successful candidates will either have a post graduate certificate within Advanced Clinical Practice or be prepared to undertake the necessary education and training to PG certificate level in Advanced Clinical Practice.  Support to achieve this qualification will be provided.

Successful candidates would be expected to offer advice to ward staff, support the medical team overnight and also practice advanced clinical examination skills and devise medical plans appropriate for the patients’ needs based on reputable sources of evidence. High levels of communication are a desirable attribute for the role along with good prioritisation skills.  Individuals should be able to work autonomously also as part of a team.
