We have a vacancy for an Occupational Therapist within community health and social care in rural Dumfries and Galloway.  

The post is within Machars Home Team based at Newton Stewart Hospital covering a large rural area including the town of Newton Stewart and surrounding villages such as Whithorn, Port William, Glentrool and Carsluith.  

This is an exciting time to join the Home Team which is a new model in Dumfries and Galloway. Each Home Team includes Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Health Improvement, Social Work and business support colleagues, totally around 50 staff.  We invite applications from Occupational Therapists who are committed to providing excellent care and leadership and who are interested in working with Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioners and the wider team to ensure the Occupational Therapy service within the Machars Home Team suits the needs of those within the community, and also contributes positively to a developing discharge to assess and rapid response model.  

Although part of the Home Team works 24/7 this post works Monday to Friday covering core hours.
