This is a Fixed term post ​​​​​​​for 2 years

Glasgow City HSCP North East Health Improvement Team is seeking to recruit a Health Improvement Lead Band 7 .This key post through specialist knowledge and expertise will provide influence and evidence base to address inequalities.  The will have a workplan which will include commissioning areas of research, project planning and implementation, training, reviewing and contributing to the evidence base both locally and nationally.  The Postholder will have small team of Health Improvement staff to line manage and oversee workplans, which includes mental health improvement, bereavement support, suicide prevention, working within communities and with asylum seekers and refugees and developing and supporting the green space agenda.  The successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to improving health, reducing inequalities and delivering better outcomes. Educated to degree level (preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification), the post holder should have a proven track record of health improvement/public health experience, partnership working, operational management and a good understanding of public health priorities and health inequalities. The post holder is expected to fulfil the Standards for Public Health Practice (Health Improvement) at an Advanced level.
