INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES FORENSIC CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY SERVICE

FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to work in this community forensic intellectual disabilities team across the Lothians (FAST Team). The FAST Team work with male and female clients at risk of offending behaviour with intellectual disabilities. This requires the intellectual disability forensic clinical psychology department to provide high quality psychological assessment, treatment and evaluation in addition to providing specialist support and consultation to clinical teams, other professionals, criminal justice, and non-professional carers. A significant component of this post will be supporting the Forensic Clinical Psychologists and wider multi-disciplinary team with violence risk assessment tasks including file reviews.  In addition there will be a role for administering assessments, supporting therapeutic groupwork, undertaking tasks to support service developments such as trauma informed and psychologically informed environments, and service evaluation.
