In Ayrshire & Arran we deliver an exemplary standard of care to our patients and 1 post has become available for a Senior ANP Team Lead within the Orthopaedic Department, to support the medical teams within University Hospitals, Ayr/Crosshouse.

As a Senior ANP Team Lead you will be responsible for the development of a group of Advanced Nurse Practitioners to work as integral members of the clinical teams across NHS Ayrshire and Arran, Orthopaedic department, providing competent advanced clinical practice and to provide leadership, clinical support and advice to nursing and junior medical staff, and co-ordinating the contribution of other members of the multi-professional team

You will be accountable for the effective and efficient operational management of all advanced nurse practice within the identified group, the relevant nursing resources, including responsibility for the implementation of the clinical, corporate and staff governance agendas. 

You will utilise expert knowledge base and clinical competence as an expert clinical leader, to support multi-professional teams, ensuring a high standard of clinical care, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, performing clinical assessment, initiate investigations, determine differential diagnosis and undertake appropriate first line interventions and to lead and develop staff group to competently do so. 

You will also demonstrate experience of developing and delivering innovative and creative solutions to underpin service delivery and experience within an appropriate clinical environment is essential together with knowledge and evidence of Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice.

Full driving licence is required.

Hours: 37.50 per week

This is a fixed term / secondment opportunity for 1 year.
