SENIOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – PHARMACY, VACCINE SERVICES
NINEWELLS HOSPITAL, DUNDEE

Are you an experienced pharmacy technician seeking the challenge of a developing role, delivering a high quality, effective and a patient focused service?
As part of the pharmacy team you will work in the Pharmacy, Vaccine Services with a key role to supervise and train staff, prioritise and coordinate the daily workload, manage pharmacy stocks and ensure continuing availability of medicines for NHS Tayside patients. You will cover and provide support for the Specialist Pharmacy Technician to deliver an effective service in line with key performance indicators.

* Pharmacy Technicians who do not meet the Senior Pharmacy Technician Person Specification criteria are encouraged to apply for the role and will be supported to undertake required education and supervised practice to develop their competence and confidence to fulfil the duties of a Senior Pharmacy Technician. It is an expectation that you will successfully achieve the required qualification(s) and/or competencies (as a Senior Pharmacy Technician) within the first 12 months of appointment.
You will retain your current salary until you achieve the qualification(s) and competencies required for the Senior Pharmacy Technician role. Once successfully demonstrating these, you will move to the post of Senior Pharmacy Technician which affords a Band 5 salary.

Hours of work are 37.5 per week over 7 days, contributing to weekend working and public holiday rotas. Flexible working arrangements will be considered.
