You will provide a comprehensive administrative service within the Rheumatology Dept to the Specialist Nurse and Pharmacist for patients on biologics.
Experience within an administrative environment is essential, preferably within a hospital setting and you should have a relevant administrative qualification e.g. Business Admin & IT, HNC in Business & Admin, AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA or Scotvec qualification or equivalent experience. A working knowledge of the patient management system (Trakcare) is advantageous but training can be provided.
Primary duties will include, inputting and updating data onto the database for patients on biologic treatment. You will also be required to provide and process reports appropriately and timeously. There will be the requirement to transcribe clinical correspondence/standard letters using digital dictation for this group of patients and processing any results appropriately and timeously.
