We are looking to recruit Out of Hours Drivers to our Bank to assist in cover for staff holidays, sickness and at times, increased workload within the departments.  


The post will transport Doctors engaged on NHS Highland Out of Hours Services duties in a dedicated vehicle between allocated calls and to note all details passed by the staff at the Highland Hub in relation to calls.


The post holder will also provide security back up for doctors’ vehicles and to provide assistance, at the request of and in accordance with, the instructions of the Duty Doctor or Out of Hours Centres or other designated party.


The OOH period covers evenings from 1800-0800 Monday to Friday. 24 hours over the weekend and 8 public holidays. There is a team of drivers to cover the key Out of Hours periods.


A clean driving licence is essential for this post. The post involves driving during the day and night and can involve various weather conditions.
