Rheumatology Physiotherapy Band 6 Fixed Term – 12 months

Have you ever considered working in the Rheumatology specialty to further develop your physiotherapy skills and make a difference?  We are currently offering an opportunity for a Band 6 physiotherapist to come and join our award winning Rheumatology AHP Team, initially for a 12 month Fixed term. This post involves working as a specialist physiotherapist within a multi-disciplinary rheumatology team dedicated to offering specialist advice, treatment and rehabilitation to patients with inflammatory conditions. 

The position is based within the South Sector which covers GGH, QEUH and NVH however there is potential to move between the other hospital sites in Clyde and North sector for learning opportunities including the potential to gain experience in the hydrotherapy department.  The post holder would also be able to spend time in clinics such as ultrasound scanning and joint injection as well as consultant and nurse-led clinics. We aim to provide a supportive learning environment within our team and training experiences can be arranged around your specific learning goals.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist with good core skills, minimum of 2 years post graduate NHS experience as a physiotherapist Band 5/6, with at least 6 month experience in MSK. We require the candidate to have enthusiasm to improve their knowledge of rheumatology pathology, assessment/treatment skills and clinical reasoning and be a strong communicator.

It is essential that you have a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration. Although this is a full time position we will consider part time applications. Secondments will be considered but please discuss with your current line manager before applying.
