Public Protection Practitioner - High Intensity Users  - Adults (2 Posts)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 enthusiastic and dedicated Professionals to join the Public Protection team as Clinical Effectiveness Leads, with a focus on supporting High Intensity Users of the Scottish Ambulance Service. This is a developing role within SAS, focussed on a biopsychosocial approach to individual case management of service users, who are often vulnerable or have complex care needs; helping them to access timely, safe, and appropriate care from the appropriate service providers.

You will work in partnership with key stakeholders across SAS and have experience of working across the wider health and social care services representing the ambulance service at clinical forums where care delivery systems, case management and social support issues are being discussed, to ensure the organisation is fully represented.

The post holder will have working knowledge and experience of the appropriate legislation and practice relating to some or all of the key areas of Adult Support and Protection and Mental Health combined with experience of making focussed assessments and  collaborating to deliver support planning and risk management in a community setting. The right candidate will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with the ability to critically analyse and prioritise their workload.

These are nationally focused posts, the base locations remain flexible but there will be some need to travel flexibly across Scotland to meet the needs of the role, including patient visits and staff engagement. The posts are full time, but other working options can and will be considered.
