Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s Evidence Directorate develops and disseminates evidence-based advice for NHSScotland, such as clinical guidelines, health technology assessments and clinical standards, and provides internal evidence development, research, health economics and knowledge support for the other functions of the organisation.
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide professional leadership support and engagement, and subject matter expertise to the palliative care programme of work, and to represent the group on other strategy and working groups, including the Strategy Steering Group for Palliative and End of Life Care.
As Palliative care professional lead you will work with the Programme Manager, Evidence Directorate staff and multidisciplinary Steering Group to: ensure a palliative care strategy approach to the palliative care evidence base and translation of this evidence into action and practice through guidelines and subsequent quality assurance processes; support the ongoing education base by facilitating production of related e-learning content; and better support implementation through dissemination tools to support knowledge into action.
