Senior Business Analyst/Project Lead (BA/PL) – Band 7
Fixed Term Contract – 2 years
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2 year fixed term eHealth Senior Business Analyst/Project Lead (BA/PL) in our NHSGGC eHealth Strategy & Programmes Team. You will work as part of the national Laboratories Information Management System (LIMS) Implementation Programme Team to lead and deliver the LIMS Genetics Module. The LIMS Programme is a major digital programme of work across multiple NHS Boards in NHS Scotland and is fundamental to the digital strategy ambitions of not only NHSGGC but Scottish Government nationally as well.
A procurement for a national LIMS has already taken place, but the supplier does not yet have a Genetics module. This rare opportunity therefore allows the successful candidate to get involved in the entire product development and implementation lifecycle of the Genetics module. To do this you will be working closely with healthcare, laboratory, technical and programme/project professionals across multiple Health Boards and the supplier in order to produce deliverables that will deliver the desired outcomes and meet the service and user requirements within agreed timescales and other associated tolerances.
You will be responsible for coordinating the analysis, management, monitoring and control of the day-to-day delivery of the Genetics module against a developed plan whilst managing business and project risks, initiating corrective action where necessary. It’s therefore vital that you have and are able to demonstrate relevant experience of organising, business / workflow process analysis, planning, monitoring and delivery of projects at a variety of scales, using different methodologies within health, public sector or similarly complex working environments. You will have experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders as part of a team as well as being able to exercise initiative and work independently when required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as well as the ability work well under pressure and have a high level of attention to detail.
If capacity allows you will also be expected to assist on other aspects of the national LIMS Implementation Programme.
If you believe that you meet this profile then we would welcome your application. Informal enquiries would also be welcome to Dennis Betts on 07768 054792 or dennis.betts@ggc.scot.nhs.uk
