An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Physiology service for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work within this progressive multidisciplinary department (annex 21).
You will be supported through the BSc Clinical Physiology Degree and will receive intensive In house training. Minimum Entry requirements SQA Higher: Minimum BBC or BCCC or equivalent pointage. NAT 5: Minimum CCC or equivalent pointage.
Recommended subjects: Two of Biology (or Human Biology or Biotechnology), Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics at a minimum of Higher Grade
Essential subjects: applicants must have Mathematics or Physics at a minimum of Standard Grade I or II or Nat. 5.
You will initially provide a 12 Lead ECG service, spirometry, 24 Hour ambulatory ECG / Blood Pressure patient set up and removal, resting / exercise Doppler measurements. On completion of Degree course you would be fully trained to provide specialist investigations within the Clinical Physiology service.
No previous experience is required however patient contact and knowledge of the hospital patient management system would be advantageous.
Driving Licence/access to a car is essential for this role.
