As this is an Annex 21 training post, successful candidates will receive National Living Wage for the duration of their education (70% of top of band 4 salary in year one and 75% in year 2).
This is a rotational 2 year fixed term cross sector post which offers experience in all aspects of Primary Care Pharmacy Team work within GP Practices and care homes including: medicines reconciliation, non-clinical medication reviews, medication management advice & reviews within care homes and hospital pharmacy including: automated dispensing services, distribution, ward services, preparation of cytotoxics, adult and neonatal TPN and CIVAS.
You will be supported in attaining your SVQ in Pharmacy Service at level 8. This includes online learning through West College of Scotland along with SVQ assessments for the practical elements of the course. You will also complete a comprehensive in-house training package all of which are required in order to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Previous pharmacy experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided.
Applicants should possess the following:
- Four National 5 Grades at level A or B or equivalent including English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry
- Numeracy skills
- Good IT skills
- Good patient care skills
- Communication skills (oral and written)
