Service Lead Consultant Psychologist Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an 8C Service Lead Clinical Health Psychology/ Consultant Clinical Psychologist/ or Consultant Clinical Counselling Psychologist.
As the Psychological Therapies Service Lead you will lead on the strategic development and provision of expert, comprehensive, specialist psychological services to patients with long -term conditions. You will provide advice and assistance to colleagues/organisations throughout Argyll and Bute HSCP involved in the delivery of health care to this population.
The development of Clinical Health Psychology is a vital part of the Psychology Service. You will be part of, and supported by the Psychology Service and also the Director of Psychology and will develop close working relationships with services both in Argyll and Bute and wider NHS Highland. You will be a key role in delivering and growing the service putting patients and their families at the heart of service delivery. Within your role you will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of local and Board policies and procedures.
The Psychology Service within NHS Highland is a supportive, dynamic and developing department, providing services across the region. The nature of the health board area requires us to be innovative and continually adapting to change. Supportive and robust professional guidance, clinical supervision, and line management are provided. There are excellent opportunities for leadership development, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), research, teaching, supervision, and training other professionals.
This post will involve remote working with regular travel to clinics and meetings as required to meet the needs of the service. Applications are welcomed from those who want to work flexibly, with a hybrid model of remote and on-site working requirements. The onsite base is negotiable within Argyll and Bute. Part-time and job share applications will be considered. With remote working, relocation to the region is not required for this post. However, relocation packages are available through application if you do relocate.

Candidates must have a Post Graduate Doctoral level (or equivalent) degree in Clinical Psychology, be registered with the HCPC.
