An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the hospital pharmacy team at St John’s Hospital. The pharmacy team is committed to the education and training of staff to ensure continuous development and opportunity for progression. As part of an ambitious 5-year investment plan for our pharmacy service, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician to join our team at St John’s Hospital. As a pharmacy technician within hospital services, you’ll work as part of a well-established team to deliver high quality pharmaceutical care to patients. You’ll participate in a rotational training plan and will assist in the provision of a range of technical and clinical pharmacy services within the dispensary, distribution, aseptic and inpatient ward areas.

Posts will support evening, weekend and public holiday service provision as part of the wider pharmacy team. Job shares, part-time and flexible working will be considered.

Successful candidates will have an enthusiasm for learning and development, a professional attitude, and should demonstrate personal values aligned with the NHS Lothian Values. The successful candidate will have a NC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, a SVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualifications and be a registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
