We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and hard working individual, to join a team of 3 Cervical Screening Officers at Bioquarter 9. The Cervical Call and Recall Office is essential to the effective running of the Cervical Screening programme within NHS Lothian and is part of the National Cervical Screening programme.
The Cervical Call Recall Office team is supported by Pathology and Public Health colleagues. Many of the tasks involve a National database known as SCCRS (Scottish Cervical Call Recall System) and this among other tasks supports mail invites being sent to patients to attend smear appointments.
Experience and knowledge of SCCRS and knowledge of the national cervical screening programme is desirable. Excellent IT and communication skills are required as the role also involves telephone contact with e.g. GP practices.
Candidates should be Educated to SCQF level 7 e.g. HNC; SVQ 3; and have a minimum of 2 years NHS experience in similar complex environment.
