We have an exciting new opportunity for a Diabetes Nurse to join our friendly Practice, Calsayseat Medical Group, located in the City Centre of Aberdeen.  We have around 12,500 patients and we are seeking someone to work between 8 and 16 hours per week.

We are a well-established and supportive team who are friendly and welcoming as well as being a teaching practice with medical students and FY2 doctors. We also provide mentorship for junior GPs offering them an “open door” support policy.

Our multi-disciplinary practice employed house teams include a full-time pharmacy team supported by technicians, an experienced practice nursing team, a Mental Health Nurse as well as 3 Physician Associates and Trainee Nurse Practitioner. We also have a First Contact Physiotherapist in the building, 3 days per week. We have low numbers of house visits as we utilise the City visits team for many acute visits. On-site ACIS and CAB consultations are a huge practical support for our patients.

The right person will have a commitment to offering a high standard of patient care, be a great team player, be positive and motivated to provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the healthcare team. In conjunction with the lead GPs and Diabetes specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the routine, evidence-based care of patients with Diabetes, including annual reviews incorporating local prescribing guidelines as well as following up patients with more complex diabetic needs

Salary - £34,726 - £42,773 pro rata, depending on experience.
