This is an exciting opportunity for two candidates to join our Pharmacy team in Primary Care Lanarkshire. These roles are aimed at providing secretarial and administrative support to our senior pharmacists in localities within NHS Lanarkshire. There are 10 localities across both North and South HSCPs which have involvement in pharmacotherapy and prescribing initiatives. They will all host pharmacotherapy hubs, which are a core project essential to the delivery of the pharmacotherapy service and administrative and operational support to these hubs is an essential part of the role. In addition, there is an expectation that administrative support will be provided to the senior pharmacists in localities which are delivering the pharmacotherapy service and prescribing initiatives. We are seeking two candidates, one to support the pharmacy service in South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership and one to support the pharmacy service in North Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
- Professional qualification i.e. SVQ3 in a relevant discipline (Business Administration/Secretarial Studies/Public Administration) or equivalent previous experience in a secretarial role.
- Knowledge of secretarial or administrative procedures and systems
- Valid driving license with access to a car
- Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Understanding of a range of procedures and processes
- Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure
- Proficient I.T skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times
