An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Psychological Services within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

Serving a population of about 370,000 people in a mixed urban and rural catchment area, we are proud to have wide reaching service provision across multiple specialties with NHS Ayrshire and Arran being one of the top performing Boards in Scotland with regards to the national treatment time guarantee (90% of patients treated within 18 weeks of initial referral).  NHS Ayrshire and Arran Psychological Services have consistently been amongst the top three performing Boards, with particular successes noted in provisions to Older Adults, Neuropsychology and Medical Paediatrics. 

Our service also has close links with higher education psychology training providers, for doctoral and applied psychology programmes, including the universities of Glasgow, Dundee, Stirling and Edinburgh.  The Director is integral in supporting and nurturing our relationships with these, and other key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you should be trained to Doctoral level in psychology, and currently be registered with the HCPC as a clinical or counselling psychologist.  You will be a proven leader with significant demonstrable experience of working at a senior level within a psychology service, managing and leading complex services, and have a proven track record of contributing to the profession at the highest levels.
