The Centre for Sustainable Delivery has an exciting opportunity for 3 Primary Care Clinical Leads within its innovation portfolio to provide professional expertise during the implementation of Dermatology photo triage and referral pathways. This ambitious innovation project incorporating technology and service redesign aims for 90% of Dermatology referrals to include a triage quality image to aid decision making and/or offer guidance to the referrer. The project has been developed in collaboration with clinical teams across Scotland and is supported by funding from the Scottish Government.
The post(s) are for 1-2 PAs for 18 months and will likely be aligned on a regional basis across Scotland to best support the implementation and deployment of the digital dermatology pathway. You will currently be working in a clinical role within primary care and we would ask you to lead the Primary Care aspects of the national implementation, liaising closely with the project implementation team and the secondary care clinical lead(s). You would help support and advise the teams working on various aspects of the project including Digital Development, Change Management, Procurement and Governance. The leads would be asked to support Primary/Secondary care communication and engagement and service redesign across Scotland. The Primary care lead(s) would also be asked to build on the initial work done to engage Primary care in adopting the photo triage referral model. In addition you will support training and education within Primary Care around clinical photography.
The role will require someone who can act authoritatively as a change agent, displaying the highest professional standards, with experience of working with executive and senior managers across NHS Scotland. Previous experience of photo triage or working in Dermatology would be advantageous but not essential.
