The Post:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing organisation. We use data to tackle Scotland’s public health challenges to co-create a Scotland where everybody thrives.  As one of our Senior Information Analysts, you will:

  • Analyse and interpret complex data
  • Use powerful analytics tools to provide insight that supports better decision making
  • Present complex data effectively through data visualisation techniques
  • Communicate insights in a customer focussed environment
  • Help customers access and analyse our many data sets
  • Compile and present important statistics to a wide audience, including NHS Boards, Scottish Government, other partner organisations, and the general public
  • Coach, develop and line manage staff

​​​​​​​We hold multiples vacancies, some of which are in teams that are outposted supporting local initiatives (e.g. NHS Lothian). If you are successful, you will be allocated to a team based on business requirements.​​​​​​

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Meridian Court, Glasgow. Please note that PHS is currently in the process of relocating from Meridian Court to another Glasgow City Centre location.

PHS currently operates a hybrid working model, with a mixture of working at home and in the office each week.

Monday to Friday work pattern. Full time (37.5 hours per week) and part time hours considered.

During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.

It is a condition of this employment that you have the right to work in the UK and must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
