Partnership Manager

Leading as one of the three Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Partnership Managers, you will be working with a dedicated team of managers who place staff and people at the heart of what they do. You will lead all teams across a wide area of Aberdeenshire to deliver our vision of "Building on a person's abilities we will deliver high quality person centred care to enhance their independence and well being in their own communities." There is a broad range of integrated health and social care services within your management, ranging from mental health to community hospitals to care at home. You will have the chance to be a key member of the HSCP Senior Management Team, bringing operational insight and perspective to set up and lead on new and existing strategic and improvement projects. You will represent the HSCP on a range of partnership groups, building relationships with our statutory, third sector and community partners and inputting into plans and priorities for Aberdeenshire. Each of the three Partnership Managers also leads on a range of strategic areas for the HSCP such as primary care, children’s health services in the community, mental health and learning disabilities, Prison health services and older people and frailty.

This is a demanding but rewarding role. You will provide support to Location Managers, who manage multi-disciplinary teams in their Localities, and to the Mental Health and Learning Disability Manager for the area, as well as services which covers the whole of Aberdeenshire. You will work alongside HSCP professional leads to enable safe and good quality services. You will chair strategic and governance groups for the HSCP and be visible to staff and the public. You will attend IJB meetings and Area Committee meetings. You will also respond to queries from councillors, health board members, MPs and MSPs, the media, community groups and the public. You will need to think strategically but also be able to respond quickly to immediate high risk operational issues. You will be part of the Senior Manager on Call rota out of hours.

Salary placement will be dependent on the appointed individual's background and experience. However, candidates applying from either Aberdeenshire Council or NHS will be placed on their existing employer's pay scale and retain their current employment terms and conditions.
