​​​​​​​NEW VICTORIA HOSPITAL - 1 Post

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician to work within the dispensary and aseptic unit. You will be based at the New Victoria Hospital where you will provide technical support to the existing preparative services team. You will also be involved in rotating through other units in preparative services

Your key duties will include managing the day to day workload of the unit, the preparation of chemotherapy, intrathecals, clinical trials, dispensing of prescriptions and undertaking MmyMeds service for 2 in patient wards.

A pharmacy technician qualification and previous aseptic experience is desirable, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council

ROYAL HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN - 1 Post

Our team aseptically prepare over 50,000 injectable medicine doses per year from our state of the art aseptic suite at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Our team take great pride in delivering critical medicines across Greater Glasgow & Clyde. 

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our team of 38 which is made up of support workerstechnicians and pharmacists.  This hands-on role involves dispensing of Parenteral Nutrition, IV additives, Chemotherapy and Clinical Trials for both adults and children. In addition you will be able to participate in batch manufacturing under the terms of an MHRA specialslicense and compounding using state-of-the-art automation. 

Previous hospital experience is not essential as full training will be given.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

This is a full-time post – 37.5 hours per week over five days. The role includes participation in the weekend and public holiday rotas.
