Psychological Services Staff Support Team (PSSST) exists to address the psychological needs of the health and social care workforce, living or working within the Lanarkshire area. As well as providing clinical assessment, formulation and intervention, the service has responsibilities for consultation, teaching and supervision, and provides both responsive and recovery focused psychological consultation to the organisation.
This role offers an opportunity to join PSSST at consultant level to lead on the operational management of service delivery. As well as carrying a clinical caseload appropriate to the demands of the role, the post holder will be required to take a leadership role within the team and will have responsibility for the operational management of PSSST. The post-holder will be required to lead on service development and to represent PSSST in meetings at various levels.
A key part of the role will be working in conjunction with other services and departments to deliver on the Staff Health and Wellbeing Strategy. The post-holder will be required to support workforce development in relation to psychologically and trauma informed workforce recovery.
The post holder must have an honours degree in psychology (eligible for GBR) and a post-graduate Masters level (or equivalent) degree in Psychological Therapy along with relevant clinical experience and have knowledge of relevant national and professional guidelines for optimal standards of clinical care.
You must have some knowledge of Psychiatry and other related professions in order to understand complex clinical presentation coupled with excellent communication skills
