An exciting opportunity has arisen within CAMHS for a Band 6 Nurse to join a new and developing Multi-Disciplinary Pan Grampian Team. It provides the right candidate an opportunity to be part of the team at the beginning of an exciting journey.
Experience working with Children and Young people in a mental health setting would be great but is not essential as a full training and induction package will be offered to the successful candidate, there will also be ongoing support, guidance and supervision throughout.
CAMHS provides a specialist mental health service for children and young people aged 0 - 18 years presenting with a range of mental health conditions and developmental disorders. If you have a genuine interest in CAMHS then this is an excellent opportunity to join a new dynamic multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will have clinical responsibility for own nursing caseload and will operate within the context of the current CAMHS delivery model, Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) which is supporting the service to focus on improving access to Psychological Therapies for children and young people.
You will be part of providing in-patient assessments across Pan-Grampian Hospitals and share clinical responsibility for a caseload supported by the MDT. Through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care will develop complex individualised treatment packages of care. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate an aptitude for working with this patient group, have excellent communication skills with the willingness to develop the skills required to work with children and young people, their families, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Evidence of ongoing and appropriate professional development is required as is being flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of CAMHS. Knowledge in a psychological therapy would be advantageous but not essential.
Car driver is essential as there may be occasions when assessment/treatment at home or another location is required.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
