An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Manager to lead Theatre services across Fife. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced theatre practitioner with a passion for providing excellent standards of patient care. You will lead and support teams across three sites (including the Day Surgery unit at Queen Margaret) encompassing a number of different specialties. You should possess the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads, work across professional boundaries and be flexible in an extremely busy environment.  

You must have excellent communication skills, with current management experience within theatres and be able to demonstrate leadership qualities around change management.

The role will support the service manager in providing operational leadership for the day-to-day management as well as future developments within the theatre department. 

The Theatre Manager will actively review and develop programmes of care ensuring that high quality, safe, and cost-effective patient centred care is provided for our patients. You will take responsibility for clinical governance and working with the multidisciplinary team, ensure compliance with national standards as well as lead quality improvements initiatives, which includes financial, budget and resource management.  

You will be NMC or HCPC registered and will be able demonstrate substantial experience in the Perioperative setting in a senior lead practitioner position.

Please note this role will involve participation of the senior manager oncall roster for NHS Fife.
