An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified finance professional who is self-motivated and wants to be part of a dynamic Financial Management department.
This post will be accountable to the Finance Manager for Costing, Income & SLAs for the successful delivery of robust, accurate and timely costing and analytical information in order to meet both internal and external requirements
Leading the submission of the National Cost Book collection exercise, in line with national deadlines and will support the production of Procedure Level Costing (PLC).
Also provide advice to facilitate the effective analysis and review of the Organisation’s costing methodology and to ensure any changes in services are reflected in the costing model.
The post holder will plan, schedule and expedite the programme of work for the National Cost Book exercise, and lead in the development of Procedure level costing.
Leading role in the development and continuous improvement of the finance costing function. This will include taking a lead in all the technical costing issues for the Board and keeping up to date with NHS costing guidance.

Ideally, you will have a degree and be qualified to diploma-level of a nationally recognised, professional accountancy body (CCAB), or have demonstrable equivalent experience. Experience of working in the NHS or equivalent large, complex organisation is essential, as are excellent communication, planning and IT skills. The ability to work proactively and use your initiative to deliver to strict timelines while managing multiple demands is essential.
