This exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Nurse to work within the Willow Service, working with women over the age of 18 who are involved in the Community Justice System. Candidates should preferably have experience in working with people experiencing mental health difficulties and knowledge of approaches best suited to women affected by complex trauma.
The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to a broad range of provision including group provision and psychological therapy.
To undertake the role of General Practice Nurse, utilising agreed levels of decision making and clinical judgment to triage, assess and treat a diverse range of women within the Willow Service and the Access Practice.
Ensure that patient health needs are met through the provision of the diagnosis, and the management of patient conditions, within competency, through the assessment, treatment, and review planning process in partnership with patients and families.
Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives. The General Practice Nurse role encompasses that of clinician and educator.
To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients, supporting and delivering policy and procedures and contributing to the development and implementation of nursing services within Willow
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
