An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time 8b Clinical Psychologist/ Clinical Neuropsychologist to work within the newly developing NHS Highland Neuropsychology services. The role will comprise work across all neuropsychology services, including opportunities to take a lead in service development.  A major element of the role will comprise clinical input and development within the North of Scotland Major Trauma (MT) network multidisciplinary team (MDT) based within Neuropsychology in NHS Highland. The post-holder will provide a high quality clinical and neuropsychological assessment and treatment service to adults, their carers, referrers and associated care workers and MDTs within the North NHS Highland area. The post-holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of local and Board policies and procedures. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and forward-thinking individual to join the service. The post-holder will support the Head of Neuropsychology in high level clinical supervision of more junior staff, and strategic development of services across acute and rehabilitation pathways.

The Psychology Directorate within NHS Highland is a supportive, dynamic and developing department, providing services across the region.  The nature of the health board area requires us to be innovative and continually adapting to change. Supportive and robust professional guidance, clinical supervision and line management are provided. The neuropsychology service has strong working links with the West of Scotland Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Masters training programmes; including opportunities for teaching, supervision of trainees, and research.  There are excellent opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), leadership development, research, teaching, supervision, and training other professionals.

The on-site base will be Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. Applications are welcomed from those who want to work flexibly, with both remote and on-site working.
