Senior Business Analyst

The core purpose of the Digital & Security organisation is the provision of world class Digital and Security expertise, solutions and services to our customers, which include NSS, NHS Boards, Scottish Government and the wider Public Sector in Scotland.

The Post: 
A critical role in ensuring integrated business technology strategy and delivery of suitable and effective solutions and services is the Senior Business Analyst position. This role provides a supporting role in establishing a trusted technology consultancy service and successful digital transformation delivery to the customer to ensure that technology delivery and service aligns to the business strategy and operational requirements.

As a Senior Business Analyst you will provide leadership to the Business Analysis team which is part of our Strategic Consulting offer. In addition to being responsible for providing business analysis to our most complex, high profile and strategically important projects you will also lead a team of Business Analysts in the delivery of their work. This will include general line management as well as managing demands for resources, assigning the right people to the right work and ensuring the team have the skills and experience they need to continue to deliver a great outcome for our customers. You will also provide peer review and subject matter expert advice to team members as they carry out their roles within other major projects and programmes. You will play a key role in establishing the business analysis function, shaping the service it offers and seeking ways to continuously improve or innovate the service to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

You will be a key player in the development of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) pillar together with the rest of the Strategic Consulting team. Working in partnership with our Portfolio Delivery Services, Business Partnering and Programme Director teams you will ensure a consistent and professional approach across the entire function. You will liaise and partner across Clinical, Transformation, Cloud Operations and Information Security areas in ensuring cross-functional approaches are designed and delivered to the customer in line with Digital and Security technology roadmaps.

The Candidate:
Applications are invited from individuals who have Business Analysis and or Project Delivery experience in a technical discipline who are both operationally minded to drive improvements and are curious to drive new ways of working and technology implementation to achieve step function changes in delivery. 

Location and Working Pattern:
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
